Marlin MarrowMarlin D. Morrow, 79, of Blauser Ln., Petrolia, Parker Twp., died late Tuesday evening, January 31, 2017 at the Chicora Medical Center.

Marlin was born in Franklin on April 1, 1937. He was the son of Russell and Eva Deal Morrow. He attended Karns City Area Schools.

Marlin was a member of the Country Gospel Church in Sligo and the North Butler Hunting and Fishing Club. Mr. Morrow enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping, and woodworking.

In his earlier years, Marlin was both a steel-worker and iron-worker and had been employed at Pullman Standard in Butler. Marlin had a strong work ethic and was a well-known and talented stone mason and carpenter, and was a self-employed general contractor.

He is survived by two sons, Dale R. Morrow and his wife, Deb, of Petrolia, and Brent D. Morrow and his girlfriend, Terri Cowperthwait, of Karns City; three grandchildren, Nathan R. Morrow of Petrolia, Karissa N. Morrow, of Karns City, Laken Kearns and her husband, Phil, of Renfrew; a great-grandson, Carsyn Rider, of Karns City; a brother, Chuck Morrow, of Portersville; two sisters, Janet Nitsche, of Mercer, and Linda Buckley and her husband, Loren, of Emlenton, as well as a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Keith and Wilbert Morrow.

Private funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hile Funeral Home of Karns City, 128 Main Street, Karns City.
