Marlyn PalmerMarlyn P. Palmer 80, of Marienville, PA died Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at her residence.

Marlyn was born on August 25, 1936 in Washington DC to the late George O. Newman and Pearl Murawoski Newman.

She was a 1954 graduate of St. George Catholic School, in Pittsburgh, PA. On May 25, 1975 she was married to Richard Palmer in Pittsburgh, PA.

He preceded her in death on May 16, 1984.

Marlyn was employed at Snyder Memorial Health Care Center in Marienville, PA, as an LPN, for over twenty years.

Marlyn was a good mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is survived by two sons, Stephen Guzik and wife Barb of Riceville, PA, Mark Guzik and wife Deb of Stephens City, VA; four daughters, Theresa Graham and husband Francis of East Pittsburgh, Karen Gill and husband William of Clarington, PA, Patricia Guzik and Susan Guzik, both of Marienville, PA. Also surviving is a brother George O. Newman Jr. and wife Rosemary, of Chicago, IL, fifteen grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.

Marlyn is preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister Linda Cook and two brothers, Harry Newman and David Newman.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Furlong Funeral Home, 140 Cherry St., Marienville, PA.

Interment will be in Roses Cemetery, Marienville, Forest Co. PA.
