Marsha BeichnerMarsha Lynn Beichner of Clarion passed away at her home on January 16, 2017.

She was 58 years of age.

Born on June 5, 1958 in Oil City, she was the daughter of the late Gerald B. and Mary Anna (Magness) Whitling. She graduated from Keystone High School and then received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Clarion University of PA. She was employed as a librarian by East Forest School in Forest Area School District.

Marsha was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Clarion where she was an Elder, a Deacon, a member of the English Handbell Choir and past-president of the Presbyterian Women. She was also a member of the Pennsylvania State Librarians Association, the Pennsylvania State Education Association, a Past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star (Clarion Chapter), and the Daughters of the American Revolution.

She was married on May 16, 1987 to Glenn N. Beichner, who survives. She is also survived by her sister Melodie Curran; aunts Nancy Magness and Darlene Fescenmyer; and her nephew Ryan Curran. She is also survived by an extended family of numerous cousins and close friends.

Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory, 330 Wood Street in Clarion where the family will receive visitors from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday. An additional visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Thursday to be followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 700 Wood Street, Clarion, with Rev. Dr. Jonathan Scanlon, officiating. Interment will be in the Clarion Cemetery.
