Martha V CleaverMartha V. Cleaver, 87, formerly of Grandview Road, died at 12:50 am, Friday, March 31, 2017, at Oil City Healthcare and Rehabilitation.

Born April 19, 1929 in Stoneboro, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Minnie Wager Anderson.

Martha operated a ceramic shop from her home. She taught ceramic classes at the Oil City Presbyterian Home and Grandview Healthcare.

She was a member of the Hasson Height Community Church.

On May 16, 1959, she married Charles Cleaver, who preceded her in death on December 6, 1984.

Surviving are a son, Bruce Cleaver of Conneaut Lake; a daughter, Beverly Formanik and husband Terry of Hopewell Township; two grandsons, Chuck Carter and wife Amy, and Phillip Carter; and two great grandsons, Mason and Ryder Carter.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by six brothers, Leonard Anderson, Robert Anderson, Philip Anderson, Clarence Anderson, Clifford Anderson and Paul Anderson; and four sisters, Dorothy Strickland, Anna Louise Anderson, Edith Anderson and Eleanor Anderson.

Friends may call at the Morrison Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.

Funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 11 am Monday.

Interment will be in Sunset Hill Memorial gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Hasson Heights Community Church, 21 Fairview Ave, Oil City.
