Mary Ann ShillingMary Ann Shilling, 75, of Distant, died Monday evening, December 26, 2016 at her residence.

Born December 18, 1941 in Erie, she was the daughter of the late John Milton and Margaret Elizabeth (Hardy) Craig.

She was married on July 23, 1962 to Joseph L. Shilling and he survives.

Mrs. Shillings worked at the Bostonia Milk Plant for twenty two years and also worked in the Careful dry cleaning at the Milk plant.

She worked seven years as a nurse’s aide at the Pennsylvania Memorial Home in Brookville, and one year at the Harper House in Summerville.

Mary is survived by her husband, Joseph L. Shilling of Distant, a son, Jeffrey S. Shilling and his wife Teresa of Distant, three grandchildren, Jeffrey D. Shilling and his wife Tiffany, Lynsey Jo Miller and her husband, Levi, and Zachery Shilling and his wife Miranda, all of Distant, a great grandson, Chase Shilling, and a brother, John E. Craig and his wife, Mary Lou of Templeton.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn.

The funeral service will be on Thursday, December 28, 2016 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Lyle Westover officiating.

Interment will be in the Oakland Cemetery, Mahoning Township, Armstrong County.
