Mary Jane Ruggles, 73, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on April 26, 2017 surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born November 10, 1943, in Franklin, Pennsylvania to the late Jack Kugler, Sr. and the late Mildred Shull Kugler.

Mrs. Ruggles was a member of Community Alliance Church. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her four children, Tracy A. Ruggles and his wife Kelly of Butler, PA, Sherrie L. Ruggles Eyth and her husband Joseph of Waco, TX, Jerry “Charlie” Ruggles of Butler, PA, and Jessie Ruggles Adams and her husband Stephen of McMinnville, TN; eleven grandchildren; six great- grandchildren and one on the way; three sisters, Linda Hickman of Blaine, WA, Kathy Peterson and her husband Dell of Franklin, PA, and Sara Mong and her husband Terry Sr. of Franklin, PA; one brother, Jack Kugler and his wife Jean of Knox, PA; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy E. Ruggles, whom she married on December 11, 1961 and who passed away on June 10, 2011; and one brother, Michael Kugler.

Friends will be received at Thompson — Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, PA on Friday, April 28, 2017 from 2 — 4 & 7 — 9 pm.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., with Rev. Dr. Dennis Krajcic of Community Alliance Church, officiating.

Private Burial will take place in Butler County Memorial Park .
