Mary K. Dilley, 75, of Knox, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, August 30, 2017, following a short battle with cancer.

Born October 26, 1941, in Foxburg, she was the daughter of William and Mary Young Gilbert.

On July 4, 1961, she married John Dilley who preceded her in death in 2014.

Mary graduated from AC Valley High School.

She was a homemaker and cleaned houses for others.

She enjoyed reading, watching westerns and caring for her cat Peanut and dog Bear. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her five children, William (Traci Moore) Dilley of Titusville, J. Scott (Lisa) Dilley of Strattanville, James Dilley of Pittsburgh, Deb (Keith) Courson of Clarion, Janice (Kirk) Byerley of Lamartine, nine grandchildren Anthony Dilley, Caleb Dilley, Joshua Dilley, Aaron Dilley, Katlyn Dilley, Tyler Dilley, Noah Dilley, Jakeb Byerley, and Makenzie Byerley. Also surviving are four great grandchildren Bailey Dilley, Emma Dilley, Juliana Dilley and Leah Gray, brother Jack Gilbert and three sisters Theresa Bechtold, Faith Garrett and Shirley Roberts.

Along with her husband, Mary was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Richard Gilbert.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 PM on Friday and 10 to 11 AM Saturday at the McEntire-Weaver Funeral Home 504 East Penn Ave., Knox.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday in the funeral home with retired Pastor Mark Micklos officiating. Interment will follow at the Starr Cemetery in Nineveh.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to Clarion Forest VNA Hospice, 271 Perkins Road, Clarion PA 16214 or the Cancer Center at Clarion Hospital 150 Doctors Ln # 1, Clarion, PA 16214
