Mary Kay Boal, Loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, passed away on Friday morning May 18, 2012 at Counrtyview of Sunbury at the age of 89.

She was born on January 16, 1923 in Clearfield, Pa to the late Ralph and Alice (Spencer) Nightingale. She was a graduate of Clearfield High School and worked in the school cafeterias in Erie, PA, Conneaut, Ohio and Oil City, PA. She attended the Centerburg United Methodist Church.

Mary loved her family and was happiest when they were all around her. She also enjoyed knitting and playing bingo at the Centerburg Senior Center.

She is survived by son: Perry (Arlene) Boal of Ashtabula; daughters: Linda (Brad) Shellito of Ostrander, Jane (Jeff) McCracken of Centerburg; 4 grandchildren: Stephanie Boal, Julie (Chris) Bates, Nick (Lisa) Shellito, Max (Amy) McCracken; 3 great grandchildren: Camryn and Chloe Bates, Layla Shellito.

Preceded in death by her husband: Harold . Boal on February 1988; brother: Fred Nightingale; sisters: Emily Hart, Helen Hutchison

Friends may call from 6-7 p.m. with a Memorial Service at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR 3 at 61, Sunbury with Pastor Vicky Kelley officiating. Inurnment will follow at a later date in the Centre County cemetery, Hyde. PA.
