Mary L. Karns, 93, of 315 Cowell Ave, died Saturday, November 29, 2014 at UPMC Northwest in Seneca.

Born April 18, 1921 in Oil City, she was a daughter of the late Charles H. and Frances E. Hyde.

She graduated from Oil City High School, Class of 1939.

Mrs. Karns was a member of the Hasson Heights Presbyterian Church.

On June 14, 1941, she married James E. Karns who preceded her in death on November 2, 2002.

Surviving is a daughter, Marilyn L. Karns of Oil City.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles W. and James E. Hyde.

The Morrison Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. There will be no viewing or visitation at her request. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.

Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery.
