Mary Louisa Rowan Lindquist, 96, formerly of Erie, died peacefully on December 1, 2017, at the Good Samaritan Hospice House in Wexford, PA.
Born August 8, 1921, in Shippenville, she was a daughter of the late Albert J. and Clara B. Wagner Rowan.
After graduating from Shippenville High School, she attended the Oil City School of Nursing, graduating as a registered nurse on September 2, 1943.
Mary worked as a private duty nurse and for the Shriner’s Crippled Children’s Hospital in Erie from which she retired.
On July 14, 1944, she married Robert E. Lindquist, who preceded her in death. Once married, they moved from Franklin to Erie where they made their home for almost 60 years.
Mary is survived by a daughter, Rhoda J. Larson, and a son, Robert J. Lindquist.
Also surviving is a brother, Henry Rowan, a sister, Dorothy Brickey and two grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Norman Rowan and William Rowan.
Private interment was in Grove Hill Cemetery.
