Mary Louise Rupp

Mary Louise Rupp, 70, of Templeton, PA, passed away Monday, October 2, 2017, at ACMH Hospital.

She was born August 26, 1947, in Brookville, PA, the daughter of Elcana A. and Hazel Louise (Cook) Guntrum.

Mary lived in Strattanville during her younger years and graduated from Clarion-Limestone High School in 1965. She married the love of her life, Kenneth T. Rupp, on June 25, 1966, and they spent 51 wonderful years together. Mary lived in Goheenville for most of her married life and earned an Associate’s degree from the Newport Business School in New Kensington. For 15 years she worked at CVS Pharmacare as an administrative assistant and in accounts billing, retiring in 2012.

Family was paramount in her life and she loved spending time with her husband and children. She was a special Mimi to her grandchildren and was thrilled to meet her first great-grandchild three days after her 70th birthday. Mary attended the Oakland Church of God in Distant, was an avid reader and enjoyed watching British period pieces. Each Christmas, she looked forward to crafting presents and baking cookies, sharing them with the people she cared about. Mary and her family took many vacations to the Outer Banks and Carolina Beach. She also loved visiting Lancaster, PA, where she loved going to the Sights and Sounds Theater and the Good-N-Plenty Restaurant.

Mary will be deeply missed by her husband, Kenneth T. Rupp; sons, Mark A. Rupp and wife, Patty, of Goheenville, and Bruce R. Rupp and husband, Jake, of Clayton, NC; daughters, Karen M. Rupp and Dianne R. Morris and husband, Todd, all of Kittanning; grandchildren, Philip and fiancée, Brittany, Rebecca and husband, Dan, and Nicholas; great-grandchild, Carter; brother, George A. Guntrum and wife, Virginia, of Summerville; sister, Iva R. Hannold and husband, Bill, of Fisher, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM on Friday, October 6, 2017, at the Bauer Funeral Home, 515 N. McKean Street, Kittanning, PA.

Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Saturday, October 7, 2017, at the funeral home, with the Rev. James Swogger officiating.

Interment will follow at Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, PA.
