Max J. Husted

Max J. Husted, 85, of Strattanville, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 9, 2018.

He was born on March 12, 1933, in Alma, MI; son of the late Robert and Dollie Husted. After school, Max entered the US Navy. He served during the Korean War, where he received numerous medals for service.

Max married Dottie Deemer on January 28, 1962, who survives.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Clarion.

Max was a long time member of the Masonic Lodge. He worked in the Lawn and Garden Industry for many years, retiring from Keys after 23 years. Following in his father’s footsteps, in which he found his love for wheel horse tractors, after retirement he enjoyed restoring old wheel horses, as well as spending time with his family and his two cats, Morris and Riley.

Max is survived by his wife and three sons, Aaron Husted of Strattanville, Mark Husted and his wife Carolyn and their two daughters, Regan and Jordan of Limestone, and Phillip Husted and his wife Sherry and their three sons, Curtis, Alan, and Quinton of Meadville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and one sister.

The family would like to thank the Clarion Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center and the Forest VNA Hospice for their personal care.

Max’s family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2018, at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home in Clarion. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 15, 2018, in the Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Young, pastor of the Williamsburg Community Bible Church. Interment will be held in the Cedarview Memorial Park in Strattanville.
