ryczko,max 001Max J. Ryczko ,88, of 424 Oak Rd. Oil City, PA., died at 8:41 A.M. Thursday June 15 at UPMC-Northwest in Seneca.

Born Oct. 1, 1928 in Oil City, he was the son of the late John & Sophie Szot Ryczko.

Max attended Assumption Grade School, graduated from Oil City High School and went on to graduate from Gannon University with a degree in Business Administration.

Max was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean War.

He started working for the Internal Revenue Service, later for Mellon Bank and retired as the tax manager for Quaker State in Oil City.

He was married on July 11, 1952 to the former Dorothy Hudick and she preceded him in death on April 5, 2016.

Mr. Ryczko was a member of St. Joseph Church.

Max is survived by two children, Mark Ryczko & his wife Amy of Westerville, OH and Cindy Ryczko of Oil City; four grandchildren Jennifer Ryczko, Brad Ryczko & his wife Sarah, Bryan Ryczko, and Kyle of Oil City. He is also survived by a sister, Charlotte Perry of Dayton, OH.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Christine Krasowski and Lottie Ryczko and by an infant brother John Ryczko.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Saturday in St. Joseph Church with Fr. John Miller, Pastor, Presiding.

Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
