HARRISBURG, Pa. (EYT) — In the race for the two open Pennsylvania Superior Court seats, one candidate from each party remains in the lead, but the race is still too close to call.

The unofficial tallies show that as of Friday morning, Judge Daniel McCaffery of Philadelphia Common Pleas Court, a Democratic nominee, and Megan McCarthy King, a Chester County assistant district attorney and Republican nominee, currently hold a tight lead over Democratic nominee Amanda Green-Hawkins, a Pittsburgh labor lawyer and former Allegheny County councilwoman, and Republican nominee Judge Christylee Peck of Cumberland County Court.

According to KDKA News, while their respective parties are claiming wins for McCaffery and King, The Associated Press has not yet called the race.

The Pennsylvania Superior Court, which currently has eight Republicans and six Democrats, is a 15-seat court which handles civil and criminal appeals from Pennsylvania’s County Common Pleas Courts. It currently has one vacancy and one Republican retiring.
