Keeping it Real Cabaret Lounge

Where: Barrow-Civic Theatre, Franklin, PA
Details:
The event kicks off at 8:00 p.m. and will include live performances by Kolby Martin, Alex Ochs, and Kelsey Viertel. There will also be a cash bar and appetizers by Chef Lucas Hartwig of Suzanne’s Restaurant. Guests mush be 18 years or older to attend. The cover charge is $4.00.

Arts in the Park: Blues & Food

Where: Justus Park, Oil City, PA

Local musical entertainment will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Bryan Schwab, Jr. Trio will perform at 5:00 p.m. followed by Max Schang Trio at 7:30 p.m. Food vendors will include Ed’s Smokin’ BBQ and Susie Q’s Homemade Ice Cream. The event is free to the public. Bring your own lawn chair.

“The Bridge Literary Arts Journal” Launch Celebration

The second publication of The Bridge Literary Arts Review has been published. Like our first journal, this edition features stories, essays, poetry and art by local and regional writers, many of whom live and write in northwest, PA, including Venango, Clarion, Mercer and Crawford counties, encompass a wide-range of talent and experiences, with pieces that range in subject from our local environs and history to the perennial themes of love, beauty, mortality, and everything in between. The journal has created a snapshot into the writing and visual visual art talent and potential that exists across north-west PA — and allows local artists to share their passions.

There will be a launch celebration of the publication of The Bridge Literary Arts Journal on Saturday, July 30, from 11-2 at Never-ending Stories Bookstore, 1252 Liberty Street, Franklin.

Kennerdell Music & Arts Festival

The legendary Kennerdell Music & Arts Festival, located in rural Western Pennsylvania, is unlike anything the area has to offer. Located 1.5 hours north of Pittsburgh, this annual festival is situated amongst the beautiful woodlands of Wilson Park, and features a day of live music. Works of art are suspended free-form under the cover of the forest, while painters, sculptors, photographers, and other artisans gather in an outdoor celebration of their expression.
