MERCER COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) — According to reports, on Tuesday Mercer County Common Pleas Court Judge John C. Reed sentenced 40-year-old Curt H. Fowler, formerly of High Street, Greenville, Pa., to 13 to 30 years in prison on charges of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and aggravated indecent assault.

Sources say Fowler faced a 10-year mandatory minimum on the involuntary deviate charge.

Sources say Judge Reed chose to impose the indecent assault sentence to run consecutively to the mandatory, resulting in the cumulative sentence.

The predator designation means he will have more stringent reporting requirements under Megan’s Law when he is released, including lifetime registration wherever he lives, works, or goes to school.

According to sources, the girl, who was 17 at the time, said Fowler sexually abused her from the time she was 4 or 5 until she was 15. The abuse occurred between Jan. 1, 1998, and Dec. 31, 2009, at four residences in Greenville, two in Pymatuning Township and one in Fredonia.
