MERCER, Pa. (EYT) – A Mercer man is facing simple assault charges after he allegedly punched a woman in the face during a dispute on Monday evening in East Lackawannock Township, Mercer County.

State Police say 33-year-old Rudolph E. Schuller, of Mercer, engaged in an altercation with a woman around 10:45 p.m. Monday at a location on Pulaski-Mercer Road.

During the incident, Schuller allegedly punched the woman in the eye.

Schuller was placed in the Mercer County Jail.
