Meth Bust in Venango County: Two Franklin Men Charged

SUGARCREEK, Pa. (EYT) — Two men were busted yesterday for suspected methamphetamine possession in Sugarcreek Borough.

According to court documents, the Sugarcreek Borough Police Department filed criminal charges against:

Steven Darrel Marshall, 24, of Franklin
Tyler Johnson, 23, of Franklin

According to Sugarcreek Borough Police, the above suspects were taken into custody and charged with possession of meth precursors along with possession of controlled and prohibited substances.

According to police, the drug possession occurred at various locations in Venango County.

Laboratory analysis is being completed at this time, police say.

Johnson was arraigned at 7:15 p.m. on December 5 in front of Magisterial District Judge Andrew F. Fish.

Marshall was arraigned at 1:00 p.m. on December 6 with Magisterial District Judge Patrick E. Lowrey presiding.

Both men face a felony charge of Possession Red Phosphorus, etc w/ Intent to Manufacture Controlled Substances.

Unable to post $25,000.00 monetary bail each, both suspects were lodged in the Venango County Jail.

Johnson’s preliminary hearing is set for 1:30 p.m. on December 14 in Venango County Central Court in front on Judge Fish.

Marshall’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on December 14 in Venango County Central Court with Judge Lowrey presiding.
