Michael F. Dehart, 58, of Salem, passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 11, 2018, with family and friends at his side sharing stories of the great memories they had with him.

Born May 25, 1960, in Clarion, Mike was the son of Fred and Johanna Dehart.

Mike graduated from Keystone High School. He started working on his dad’s farm in 1972 and later his son joined them working the family farm.

On November 8, 1986, Mike married Tina Smith who survives.

Mike was an excellent storyteller. He loved to hunt especially during the late muzzleloader season. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and loved to give the grandkids rides on the tractors. Mike was a big Raiders fan. The last game he got to watch he enjoyed very much as his Raiders beat the Squeelers.

Along with his wife and parents Mike is survived by his daughter Anna Busch and her husband Eli of Knox, his son Ben Dehart of Emlenton, three grandchildren Emmett, Elliott and Everett Busch all of Knox; two sisters Michelle Hepfl and her husband Steve of Emlenton and Melanie Frederick and her husband Dave of Lawrenceburg, KY and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 14, at the McEntire-Weaver Funeral Home 504 East Penn Ave., Knox.

A private memorial service will be held by the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorial contributions be made to the charity of one choice.
