Michaelena F. Fedor, 96, a resident of Otter Street, Franklin, died peacefully on Tuesday, February 13, 2018, in The Caring Place of Franklin.

She was born October 4, 1921, in Franklin, a beloved daughter of the late Andrew and Alice Bak Fedor.

She was a graduate of Franklin High School.

For more than 40 years, Miss Fedor had worked as a laborer at the former Arnold Graphics of General Manifold in Franklin. She had also acted as a nurse’s aide following high school, and was a familiar face for many years, as a custodian for the Franklin Area School District.

She was an active and faithful member of St. Patrick Church in Franklin, and a lifelong member of the P.N.A. Club of Oil City.

Miss Fedor loved to bake, and will be especially remembered by many for her delicious banana bread and cookies. She enjoyed gardening around her home and watching baseball and football games.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Edward F. Szabat and wife Sara, Patricia L. Flowers and husband Thomas, and Nancy A. Ochalek and husband David, all of Oil City, as well as numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her beloved parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Irene M. Szabat.

In accordance of her wishes, there will be no public visitation.

A private funeral Mass of Christian Burial is planned, with interment to follow in St. Patrick Cemetery.

Memorial contributions, if desired, may be directed in her name to either: St. Patrick Church or to The Christian Loving Fund of The Caring Place, 103 North 13th Street, Franklin, PA 16323.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Timothy E. Hartle Funeral Home, 1328 Elk Street, Franklin.
