MEADVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — The family of a missing Meadville man is putting out a plea for information of his whereabouts.

Norman Rossey, Jr., 29, has been missing since April 15, and his family has not heard from since.

A missing person report was filed with the Meadville Police Department. The department doesn’t suspect foul play and is not actively searching for him.

According to Rossey’s sister, Shelly Trypus, police are investigating people that may have made threatening comments about Rossey.

“There are rumors he was killed because he owed money to some people,” Trypus said.

Trypus said the stories about her brother owing money to people could be the result of his battles with drug addiction.

Rossey is described as 5’6″ tall and weighs 120 pounds.

He was last seen riding a dark gray and orange mountain bike. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with white lettering, blue jeans, and blue and orange hightop sneakers.

“We’re just trying to get the word out as much as we can,” Trypus said.

Meadville police can be reached at 814-724-6100.

Trypus can be reached at trypus2013@yahoo.com or by calling 814-853-6762 or 814-337-8293.
