Monday’s HS Softball Roundup: Barcinas Helps Cranberry Past A-C Valley

PARKER, Pa. (D9Sports) – Natalie Barcinas went 4-for-5 with a pair f double and three runs scored to help Cranberry to an 11-2 road win over A-C Valley.

Jenna Huegel was also 3-for-5 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored for the Berries, while Nicole Hutchinson drove in four while going 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored. Also for Cranberry, Malliah Schreck had two hits, both doubles, a walk and three runs scored, Kaylee Weaver added two hits, including a double, and an RBI, Rachel McCauley went 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI, winning pitcher Andrea Watson was 2-for-3 with a double, a run scored and an RBI and Libby Kiefer was 2-for-4 with a walk.

Watson went seven innings allowing two runs on six hits and seven strikeouts. She didn’t walk a batter.

Emily Wetzel was 3-for-3 with a double, a triple and two runs scored for A-C Valley. Cami McNany was 1-for-3 with a double and two RBIs.

KARNS CITY 9, FOREST AREA 4

TIONESTA, Pa. – Alyssa Stitt, Makala Bailey and Mackenzie Dunn each drove in a pair of runs to lead visiting Karns City to a 9-4 win over Forest Area.

Dunn hit a home run for the Lady Gremlins while Stitt was 3-for-4 with a run scored. Bailey was 2-for-3 with two runs scored.

Taylor Ekis also had a pair of hits and a run scored for Karns City as did Emily Wolfe.

Cassie Cochran was 2-for-3 with a triple, two runs scored and an RBI to lead Forest Area.

The game was tied at three until the fifth when Karns City scored twice. The Lady Gremlins then added four in the sixth.

Logan Byers got the win in relief allowing one run on three hits and a walk while striking out five.

SHARON 10, OIL CITY 0, 6 INNINGS

SHARON, Pa. – Adrieannna Kimble threw a six-inning perfect game, as Sharon topped visiting Oil City, 10-0.

Kimble struck out 12 in getting the win.

KyAzia Lee led the Lady Tigers offense going 3-for-3 with three runs scored and an RBI.

Emily Goughler took the loss allowing 10 runs, five earned, on six hits and six walks while striking out one in 5 1/3 innings of work.
