Monica ReedMonica L. Reed, 73, of Miola, passed away Saturday morning, March 25, 2017 at her son’s home in Centerville, PA surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born on September 3, 1943 in Highland Township; daughter of the late George J. and Martha I. Swartzfager Hepfl.

Monica was married on September 28, 1968 to Stephen H. Reed, and he preceded her in death.

She worked many years at Owen’s Illinois Glass Plant of Clarion.

Monica was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, going to plays, reading, canning, gardening, and playing cards.

Monica is survived by her sons, Eric Reed and his wife Barb of Centerville and Kevin Reed of Parker, three grandchildren, Stephen, Brittany, and KJ Reed of Centerville.

She is also survived by her sisters, Rita Reed of Miola, Mary Nick and her husband Ron of Fryburg, and Betty Wolbert and her husband Ed of Lucinda, along with many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, her sisters, Gerry Griebel, Pauline Stiglitz, and Helen Hepfl, and her brothers, Tommy, Jimmy, George, Bernard, Charles, Walter, and Donald Hepfl.

Family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home in Clarion.

A Christian Wake Service will be held at 4:30 p.m. in the Funeral Home on Tuesday.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Monty Sayers, pastor presiding.

Interment will follow in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery.

Family is asking to make donations to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church or the Community Nursing Services, 7 Park Street, North East, PA, 16428.
