Moniteau’s Patton To Compete in Track & Field at Earlham College

WEST SUNBURY, Pa. (D9Sports) – Moniteau senior Jake Patton recently agreed to continue his track and field career and Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana.

Earlham is an NCAA Division III school that competes in the Heartland Athletic Conference.

Patton, a PIAA qualifier in the hurdles, was second-team All-KSAC in both the 110-meter and 300-meter hurdles in 2017 and was a first-team all-KSAC performer as a member of Moniteau’s 1,600-meter relay team.

He took second at the District 9 Class 2A meet in the 300 hurdles in a time of 40.99 seconds gaining an automatic berth into the PIAA Championships while also finishing fifth in the 100 hurdles at the D9 meet in a state-qualifying time of 15.49.

At the PIAA meet, he advanced to the semifinals in the 110 hurdles by running an opening heat time of 15.77. He ended up finishing 16th in the event.
