IRWIN TWP., Pa. (EYT) — A local man was injured yesterday in a motorcycle crash in Irwin Township, Venango County.

Franklin-based State Police say Robert L. Harris, 50, of Grove City, was traveling westbound on Gilmore Road around 12:11 p.m. when he lost control of his motorcycle due to loose gravel and leaves on the roadway.

The motorcycle left the north side of Gilmore Road and traveled approximately 15 feet before colliding with a ditch and then landing on its left side.

Harris, who was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, was transported to Grove City Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.

Clintonville Volunteer Fire Department and Superior Ambulance assisted at the scene.
