Police say 62-year-old John S. Taber, of Lake Worth, FL, and 33-year-old Timothy Walters, of Cranberry, were involved in the collision.

According to police, Walters was traveling eastbound on SR 322 on a 1993 Honda Shadow, preparing to turn left into his driveway when Taber, also traveling eastbound, passed the motorcycle on the left in a 1994 GMC Vandura 2500, in a marked passing zone.

The van “reportedly brushed” Walters, causing him to fall over, police say.

Walters was transported to UPMC Northwest for treatment of moderate injuries, according to police.

Taber was charged with a traffic violation.
