Mr. Richard L. Reed, 85, of Main St., Tidioute passed away at 12:55 AM on Tuesday, November 14, 2017, at the Rouse Home in Youngsville.

Mr. Reed was born on July 17, 1932, in Foxburg to the late William and Hannah Tonks Reed. He married Sally A. Bowser on April 18, 1953, in Brookville.

He was a graduate of St. Petersburg High School, class of 1950.

Mr. Reed was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

He was employed by GTE Sylvania for 33 years and retired in 1987.

Mr. Reed was a member and Elder of the Pleasantville Presbyterian Church.

He served as supervisor for the Pleasantville Little League for a number of years, a Boy Scout leader in Pleasantville, an avid antique toy collector, and enjoyed playing golf with the Elder Statesmen Golf League.

He is survived by his wife, Sally A. Reed of Tidioute; 3 sons, Ricky Reed and wife Debbie of Titusville, Jeffrey Reed and wife Robin of Titusville, Steven Reed of Tidioute; 2 sisters, Marilyn Reed of Foxburg and Gloria Burns of Shippenville; 6 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Reed was preceded in death by a grandson, Jeremy Reed; 6 sisters and 1 brother.

A private memorial service is being conducted for the family interment in Fairview Cemetery, Pleasantville.
