Muriel “Bonnie” Y. Jack

0c336c29c6ed961d[1]Muriel “Bonnie” Y. Jack, 90, of Emlenton, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, Sunday, August 23 at the Golden Living Center in Oil City.

Born on November 14, 1924, Bonnie was the daughter of Charles and Florence Ritts. On February 3, 1942 Bonnie married Alfred L. Jack who preceded her in death in 2004. Bonnie enjoyed going to church and singing in the choir at the Salem United Church of Christ, she also enjoyed spending time in her garden and growing flowers.

Bonnie is survived by seven children: Carol (Ted) Rhea of Woodstock, VA; Muriel (Jack) Weaver of Knox; June (Bud) Rich of Ludlow; Beverly Boorech of St. Petersburg; Dotti (Tim) Dunkle of Rocky Grove; J. (Vieve) Jack of Emlenton and Scott Jack of El Paso TX, seven brothers and sisters: Joe (Ellen Ritts of Mount Jewett; Roger (Dolores) Ritts of Knox; Allen Ritts of Lamartine; Margaret Chadman of Lamartine; Patricia (John) Knoll of Butler; Jean (Ed) Ausel of Knox and Linda (Dick) Rowe of State College, 29 grandchildren and 53 great grandchildren.

Along with her husband and parents Bonnie was preceded in death by three sons: Richard L. Jack; Andrew Alan Jack and Ray Dennis Jack, a daughter Rachael J. Jack, a grandson John Jack, a great grandson Michael Renfrew and three sisters: Wanda VanSteenberg; Zella Robertson and Janice Altmire.

A memorial service will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, August 29, at the Salem United Church of Christ, with Pastor Chris Lewis officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family asks memorials be made to the Salem United Church of Christ, P.O. Box 238, Lamartine 16375.
