OIL CITY, Pa. — The Oil City Main Street Program’s “Music on the Square” concert series concludes on Thursday, September 6 with a 7:00 pm performance by the band Acoustic Earle.

Acoustic Earle is an offshoot of Earle Sweeney and the Dirty Diamond Boys, and features members Richard Atha, Jimmi Holmes and Ronnie Feroz. The group performs a playlist of both covers and originals with influences from Seattle to Nashville, and pledges to defy your acoustic expectations.

“Music on the Square is a great way to spend a weekday summer evening,” stated Kathy Bailey, Main Street Manager. “We invite you to come early and visit our shops, eat dinner downtown and then walk over to enjoy live music in the square.”

An additional “Music on the Square” performance will be held on September 14 during the Oil City Uncorked Wine Walk.

“Music on the Square” was spearheaded by the Oil City Main Street Program in 2015. Most performances are held from 7:00 – 9:00 pm on event days in the center paved area of the Oil City Town Square, and are free and open to the public. Attendees may bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on. Concerts are supported by the Jack Rowley Charitable Trust.
