Nancy Louise Bickel, 74, a resident of 128 Maple Grove Circle, Franklin died peacefully at 3:00 AM Tuesday, July 28, 2015 in her home, following an extended illness; with her husband and son, William by her side.

She was born March 24, 1941 in Franklin, a beloved daughter of the late: Raymond E. and Betty Jane Kline Deal.

Nancy attended the Franklin area schools.

She had worked formerly at McDonald’s in Franklin for a number of years.

Nancy enjoyed taking quiet walks, shopping at flea markets and took great pride in tending to the flower gardens around her home.

She was always happiest as a homemaker; and cherished the fun times she was able to spend with her family and friends and the loving companionship of her dogs. She will be deeply missed by all those who loved her.

She was married October 23, 1958 to William B. Bickel; who survives.

In addition to her beloved husband of 56 years, she is survived by two sons: William R. Bickel of Franklin and Donald E. Bickel and his wife Debbie of Utica and by three daughters: Debra Sue Post and her companion Chuck Durf of Franklin, Betty Zeigler and her husband Greg of Austintown, OH and Denise D. Bickel also of Franklin; in addition to 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Also surviving is her sister: Nicki R. Kay of Oil City; in addition to many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother: Raymond E. Deal, Jr.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no public visitation; nor funeral service.
