Nancy R. Bain, 86, of Summerville, PA, formerly of Wrightsville, PA, in York County, died on Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at Shippenville Health and Rehab Center.

She was born in Hattiesburg, MS on August 23, 1931.

Nancy graduated from Tarentum High School. Continuing her education, she graduated from York Fine Arts Institute.
She became an art teacher and taught in York and Lancaster Area School Systems.

On August 24, 1955, she was married to John H. Bain in Pittsburgh, he preceded her in death on October 14, 2014.

Nancy is survived by two sons, John G. Bain and companion Cheryl Geist of Summerville, PA, and Glenn A. Bain and wife Brenda of York, PA. Also surviving is one grandson, James Speros of York, PA and three great-grandsons, Zack, Austin, and Nick of York, PA.

Along with her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a granddaughter Nicole Bain.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Furlong Funeral Home, Broad Street, and 1st Ave, Summerville, PA.
