12-Year-Old Boy Arrested for Assaulting Two Women in Cornplanter Township

CORNPLANTER TWP., Pa. (EYT) — A 12-year-old Oil City boy was arrested for assault on Sunday morning.

According to Franklin-based State Police, around 10:12 a.m. on Sunday, February 16, a known 12-year-old male juvenile, of Oil City, assaulted two female family members — a 45-year-old woman and a known 38-year-old woman, both of Oil City — while they were attempting to discipline him.

The incident happened at a location on State Route 227, in Cornplanter Township, Venango County.

Police say the juvenile bit, kicked, and shoved the victims during the altercation.

Franklin-based State Police responded to the scene, and the juvenile was arrested for simple assault and harassment. He was then released to juvenile probation.
