New Castle Woman Arrested for Endangering the Welfare of 5-month-old Daughter

LAWRENCE COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) — According to police, a New Castle woman has been arrested for public drunkenness, disorderly conduct, and endangering the welfare of children.

Police say 29-year-old Dolly Brown of New Castle, Pa., is accused of being drunk in public with her 5-month-old daughter; she was arrested on Monday around 9:30 p.m. outside an East Lawrence Street, New Castle business.

Police say Brown’s infant daughter was sitting about 15 feet away near a busy road; she was taken into protective custody and is now in the care of Lawrence County Child and Youth Services.

Brown was charged with endangering the welfare of children, disorderly conduct, and public drunkenness.

Unable to post her $2,500 bond, she remains in the Lawrence County Jail.
