FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) – The oversized scissors in the hands of Iron Furnace owner Hannah Gamble sliced the ribbon shortly before serving her first customer during a soft opening at the Liberty Street location in Franklin on Friday, May 20.

The private event kicked off at 11:00 a.m with attendees such as the Venango Area Chamber of Commerce, the Franklin Area Chamber of Commerce, Senator Scott Hutchinson, as well as District Office Manager for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives Kim Scott, and Brad Moore, District Director for the Office of U.S. Rep. Glenn T. Thompson.

“It’s important for us to support our local small businesses,” Hutchinson said. “I’m excited that there’s investment in our downtowns, in our communities, and there’s a lot of money and sweat-equity, really, that are invested into these places. To help them get a good start is always an important thing.”
