Nick Sosigian Shuts Down Union Bats

BUTLER, Pa. (D9Sports) – Nick Sosigian tossed a one-hit, two-walk, five-inning shutout while striking out 10, as Moniteau downed visiting Union, 10-0 in five innings, at Kelly Automotive Park in Butler Saturday.

Chance Nagy led the offense going 2-for-2 with a double, a run scored and four RBIs for the Warriors.

Nathan Sosigian also doubled, walked, drove in a run and scored twice with Hunter Fitzingo tripling, scoring a run and driving one in for Moniteau. Jared Lomenski added a pair of runs scored in the win.

Isaac Yoder had Union’s lone hit.

Reice Saylor took the loss lasting two innings allowing three runs, all earned, on four hits while striking out one. Yoder gave up six runs, all earned, on four hits and four walks while striking out two in an inning of work and Lucas Bowser gave up a run on a hit and a walk in his lone inning on the mound.
