Norman Earl Bashline, 55, of Fairmount City, died Tuesday afternoon, October 24, 2017, at his home following an extended illness.

Born on December 16, 1961, in Clarion, he was the son of the late David Richard and Naomi E. (Bittenbender) Bashline.

On February 27, 1999, he married Margaret L. “Maggie” (Spencer).

Norman graduated from Clarion High School in 1981.

He worked for Burns Farms Inc. for 28 years.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Margaret L. Bashline, two children, Kassandra and Nicholas Bashline, all of Fairmount City, two sisters, Marilyn Fye and her husband Ron of Hagerstown, Maryland and Emily McClintic of Pa., two brothers, Clair Bashline and his wife Judy of Rimersburg and David Bashline of Lake Tahoe, Nevada, a sister-in-law, Joanna Snyder and her husband Ron of Hawthorn, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Norman was preceded in death by four sisters, Ruby, Sarah, Evelyn, and Laura, a father-in-law, Raymond Spencer, Sr. and a brother-in-law, Raymond Spencer, Jr.

Norman’s request was to be cremated.

The family will celebrate his life with a memorial service at a later date.

The Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn is handling the arrangements.
