Nurses Recognized at UPMC Northwest

SENECA, Pa. – In conjunction with National Nurses Week last month, UPMC Northwest recently recognized several nursing and medical staff members for their compassionate care and exceptional service to patients.

The 15th Annual Excellence in Practice Awards for outstanding clinical practice and professionalism were presented at a program at The Quality Inn in Franklin earlier this month.

Award recipients include:

Cameos of Caring: Rachel Janosik, R.N.
Rising Star: Elizabeth Myers, R.N.
Leading with Wisdom: Deb Wilson, R.N.
Preceptor of the Year: Leslie Kightlinger, R.N.
Advanced Practice Award (Clinical Focus): Renee Young, C.R.N.P.
Advanced Practice Award (Manager Focus): Susan Hoobler, M.S.N., R.N.-B.C.
Caring Case Manager: Beth Gaw, B.S.N., R.N.
Champion of Nursing: Kimberly Alt, B.S.N., R.N.
Legacy of Nursing: Kim Mahood, R.N.
Quality and Safety: Sue Bialo, Patient Safety Officer
Mike Winter Award: Samantha Lehr, Recreational Therapist
Physician of the Year: Jason Manross, M.D.
Daisy Team Award: 3 South
