O.C.toberFest Coming to Oil City October 12-14

OIL CITY, Pa. — A new festival is coming to Oil City during the second weekend of October.

(The Town Square will see various events being held in it during the inaugural O.C.toberFest.)

O.C.toberFest will be held October 12 to October 14 and will include a variety of family-friendly activities and events at various locations during the weekend, including activities from noon to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 13, in the town square. The event is being sponsored by the Oil City Main Street Program.

The Main Street Program hopes to have food vendors on Saturday in Town Square.

A tentative schedule includes:

Friday, October 12

All day — Pumpkin Decorating Contest drop-offs
8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. — Kids at the Oil City Library
Noon to 7:00 p.m. — Adults at National Transit Building Annex
6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. — Paint & Sip at the Tipsy Chef
7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. — Arts in the Transit Music Series Max Schang & Charlie Barath

Saturday, October 13

All day — Photo boards at various locations
8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. — Pumpkin Decorating Contest at the Oil City Library and National Transit Building
9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. — Cash Mob at Glenview Apothecary
11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. — Children’s book signing of “Talluah’s Diner” by Gina Burris at Oil City YMCA
Noon to 2:00 p.m. — The Walking Reds at Town Square
Noon to 7:00 p.m. — Pumpkins & Pots by Oil Creek Earthworks at National Transit Building Annex
Noon to 5:00 p.m. — Transit Studios Art Walk at National Transit Building
2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. — Kids’ face painting at the Town Square
3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. — Karaoke at the Town Square
4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. — Harry “Potter” Party by Oil Creek Earthworks at the National Transit Building Annex
5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. — Night at the Museum Benefit Gala at the Venango Museum
TBA — Live Music at Karma Coffee Company (tentative)

Sunday, October 14

Noon to 1:00 p.m. — Judging for Pumpkin Decorating Contest
Noon to 3:00 p.m. — “Just for the Health of It” Wellness Fair at the Town Square
TBA — Downtown mural walk (tentative)
