Two Transported to Titusville Hospital Following Route 417 Crash

OAKLAND TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Police say a woman and a child were transported to Titusville Hospital following a crash on Route 417 in Oakland Township, Venango County.

According to Franklin-based State Police, around 7:38 p.m. on Friday, July 20, 22-year-old Breanna L. Kline, of Titusville, was operating a 2006 Ford Taurus, traveling south on State Route 417 just east of Cherrytree Road.

Kline was negotiating a left curve in the roadway when the vehicle traveled off the west side of the road and over an embankment. It then traveled approximately 270 feet before going over a ditch and striking a tree.

Kline was not wearing a seatbelt; she suffered injuries of unknown severity.

She was transported to Titusville Hospital by Community Ambulance.

The juvenile passenger in the rear seat was in a child safety seat and was also transported to Titusville Hospital as a precautionary measure, according to police.

The vehicle sustained heavy front-end damage and was towed from the scene by Lowry’s Towing.

Kline was charged with a traffic violation.

Oakland Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.
