Obenrader Named Second-Team All-State in Shot Put by PTFCA

FRILLS CORNERS, Pa. (D9Sports) – North Clarion’s Tori Obenrader was named second-team All-State (all classifications) in the girls’ shot put by the Pennsylvania Track and Field Coaches Association.

Obenrader won the PIAA Class 2A and the District 9 Class 2A titles in the shot put. Her throw at the PIAA meet was 45-feet, 5 ¾ inches. Obenrader was All-State in three sports this season also earning first-team Class 1A basketball honors and was also All-State in volleyball.

Joining Obenrader on the PTFVA teams from District 9 were Kane’s Trinity Clark, second-team Javelin, and Bradford’s John Eakin, first-team shot put. Clark was the PIAA 2A girls’ champion in the javelin while Eakin was the PIAA 3A boys’ champion in the shot put.

Meanwhile, Johnsonburg’s Skylar Sherry was an honorable mention choice in the girls’ javelin.
