FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) — An Oil City man has been accused of indecent exposure and related charges stemming from an incident that occurred over social media.

According to court documents, on May 2, the Franklin Police Department filed criminal charges against 19-year-old Thomas Allen Moore, Jr., of Oil City.

According to a criminal complaint, around 2:44 p.m. on April 24, Officer Lopez, of the Franklin Police Department, was dispatched to a residence on Elk Street, in Franklin, concerning a harassment incident.

During Officer Lopez’s investigation, it was discovered that Thomas Allen Moore, Jr., “took a picture of his genitals with his cell phone. He then sent the picture to the victim via Facebook messenger without her knowledge or approval. Moore and the victim were together for a period of two weeks to a month and have not had communication for approximately one year. The photo caused the victim alarm, and Moore was blocked from the victim’s social media,” the complaint states.

Based on the information gathered, Officer Lopez requested a summons be issued for Moore.

Moore faces the following charges:

– Indecent Exposure, Misdemeanor 2
– Harassment — Comm. Lewd, Threatening, Etc. Language, Misdemeanor 3

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on June 1 in Venango County Central Court in front of Magisterial District Judge Matthew T. Kirtland.
