VENANGO CO., Pa. (EYT) — Official election results have been released for Venango County.

U.S. Senator

In the race for U.S. Senator, on the Republican side, Jim Christiana won 50.87% of the vote in Venango County with 2,108 votes, while Lou Barletta won 48.75% of the vote with 2,020 votes. There were also 31 write-in votes.

On the Democratic ticket, Bob Casey Jr. won 98.17% of the votes with 1,663 in Venango County. There were also 32 write-in votes.

Governor

In the race for Governor, the field was split between three contenders on the Republican ticket. Statewide winner Scott R Wagner came in second in Venango County, accounting for 35.44% of the votes, with 1,563 votes. Paul Mango was the local favorite, winning 46.94% of the votes with 2,070 votes in Venango County. Laura Ellsworth fell in a distant third place, winning just 16.85% of the votes with 743 votes. There were also 34 write-in votes.

On the Democratic ticket, incumbent Tom Wolf took 96.06% of the votes with 1,608 votes in Venango County, while an additional 3.94% of Democratic votes, totaling 66 votes, were write-ins.

Lieutenant Governor

The crowded field in both parties made for an interesting primary race for the Lieutenant Governor candidacy.

On the Republican side, statewide winner Jeff Bartos was also the local favorite, accounting for 37.79% of the vote, totaling 1,559 votes in Venango County. Kathy Coder won 28.36% of the vote, with 1,170 votes; Diana Irey Vaughan won 16.39% with 676 votes, and Peg Luksik took 17.02% with 702 votes. There were also 18 write-in votes.

On the Democratic side, statewide winner John Fetterman was the clear local favorite, accounting for 58.24% of the votes in Venango County, with 1,021 votes. Among the other Democrat candidates, Kathi Cozzone won 18.71% of the votes with 328 votes, Nina Ahmad accounted for 13.41% of the votes with 235 votes, Mike Stack accounted for 5.99% of the votes with 105 votes, and Ray Sosa won 2.68% of the votes with 47 votes. There were also 17 write-in votes.

15th District Congressional Representative

In the race for the newly minted 15th Congressional District, incumbent Glenn “G.T.” Thompson ran unopposed on the Republican ballot. In Venango County, Thompson accounted for 98.96% of the votes with 4,098. There were also 43 write-in votes cast.

On the Democratic ballot, Susan Boser accounted for 81.64% of the votes in Venango County with 1,374 votes, while Wade Jodun took 17.47% of the votes with 294 votes. There were also 15 write-in votes.

64th District General Assembly Representative

In the race for the 64th District General Assembly Representative, incumbent R. Lee James ran unopposed on the Republican ballot and accounted for 97.43% of the vote in Venango County with 4,026 votes. There were also 106 write-in votes.

On the Democratic ballot, John Kluck also ran unopposed and accounted for 98.21% of the votes in Venango County, with 1,704 votes. There were also 31 write-in votes cast.
