OIL CITY, Pa. — Oil City is having its annual Tire Recycling Program from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, at the City Garage located on Regan Drive in Siverly.

Only non-commercial, rimless tires may be dropped off. City residents may drop off eight tires per person. There will be a fee of $2.00 per tire for numbers over the initial eight (exact amount, cash only). Proof of residency is required and a City water bill is suggested as that proof.

There will also be dumpsters available for yard clutter items that the garbage company doesn’t take at the curb such as scrap metals and construction material (lumber, plasterboard). Household hazardous chemicals like motor oil, paint, batteries and fluorescent light bulbs will not be accepted.

Questions should be directed to the Utility Office at 814-678-3002.
