CLARION, Pa. (EYT) – Clarion Junior League All-Stars will host Oil City Friday night at 8:00 at Weaver Park in Clarion in the Pennsylvania District 25 Junior League championship game.

Clarion has gone unbeaten in the four-team double elimination tournament, opening tournament play with a 20-1 win over Cranberry Saturday before advancing to the title game with a 7-3 victory over Franklin Wednesday night.

Oil City traveled through the loser’s bracket to make the title game, falling in their tournament opener to Franklin 5-4 in nine innings, before beating Cranberry and Franklin this week to make the title game.

If Clarion wins, they will advance to the Section 1 tournament in Cranberry, which begins July 16. An Oil City win would force a second game between the two teams tomorrow with the winner moving on to the Section tournament.
