Oil City Couple Busted on Drug Charges, Child Endangerment

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — Two Oil City residents are facing drug and child endangerment charges following a search of their residence on Clarion Street, in Oil City, Venango County.

According to Oil City Police Department, criminal charges were filed against 35-year-old Leslie D. McKain, and 40-year-old Christopher E. McKain, both of Oil City.

The arrests took place on May 30 after a search warrant was served on their residence located at 6 Clarion Street in Oil City stemming from an investigation involving the manufacturing/and or delivery of a controlled substance. The investigation also revealed there were three minor children living in the residence, police say.

According to police, a substantial amount of marijuana and items of drug paraphernalia, such as smoking pipes, bongs, digital scales, and rolling papers were seized as a result of the search warrant.

Christopher and Leslie McKain were taken into custody and arraigned at 5:10 p.m. on May 30 in front of Magisterial District Judge Andrew F. Fish on the following charges:

– Conspiracy — Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Felony
– Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Felony
– Intentional Possession Controlled Substance By Person Not Registered, Misdemeanor
– Use/Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor
– Endangering Welfare of Children — Parent/Guardian/Other Commits Offense, Felony 3 (three counts)

Both individuals are free on $25,000.00 unsecured bail each.

Preliminary hearings are scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on June 7.
