OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — The Oil City Council will be holding a pair of public hearings in conjunction with their regularly scheduled meeting Thursday, June 28, in the council chambers at the City Building.
The first public hearing will be at 4:00 p.m., which is a half-hour earlier than the normal 4:30 p.m. meeting. The hearing will be held to afford citizen input on the rezoning to expand the I-1 Manufacturing and Industrial District in the Second Ward of the City. This is in relation to a request from Webco Industries after Webco bought four properties in the city with the hopes of expanding its business.
The second public hearing will take place at 4:30 p.m. This hearing is being held to afford citizen input on the expansion of the Northside Country Fair and the inter-municipal transfer of a liquor license to the Country Fair.
At the regularly scheduled meeting, which will take place following the Country Fair hearing, the council will hear a presentation from Venango County in regards to the Cornplanter Square building that the county purchased last year. The council is also planning on discussing the Country Fair expansion.
