Oil City Hosting Tire Recycling Event August 11

Tire stack backgroundOIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — Oil City will hold its annual tire recycling day Friday, August 11 at the city garage on Regan Drive in Siverly.

It will be open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Only residential customers are allowed to bring items and they must have proof of residency.

Only non-commercial, rimless tires will be accepted. There is a limit of eight per customer. If dropping off more than eight, there is a charge of $2 per tire. Only cash will be accepted.

Also, there will be dumpsters available for yard clutter, including scrap metal and construction material (lumber, plaster board and similar items from small projects).

No household hazardous chemicals (motor oil, paint, batteries, fluorescent light bulbs, etc.) will be accepted.
