Oil City Man Accused of Sending Lewd Video to Woman Waives Hearing

shawn-clark-mugCLARION CO., Pa. (EYT) – An Oil City man accused of violating a court order by sending a lewd video to a local woman waived his hearing on Tuesday in Clarion County court.

According to court documents, criminal charges against 37-year-old Shawn Michael Clark, of Oil City, have been transferred to Clarion County Court of Common Pleas.

His case is working its way through the court system.

Details of the case:

On December 19, Clarion-based State Police Trooper Norbert interviewed a Knox woman who said her ex-boyfriend, Shawn Clark, violated a Protection From Abuse order that she filed against him. The woman told Trooper Norbert that she received multiple calls and text messages from Clark.

Clark allegedly left nine voicemails for the victim and a sent her a voice recording via text message.

He also allegedly sent her multiple videos of himself, including one in which he allegedly “masturbated while showing his face.”

Clark also allegedly posted videos directed to the victim on his Facebook profile.

According to court documents, Clark used a total of five different phone numbers to contact the victim.

Following the interview with the victim, a warrant was issued for Clark’s arrest.

Clark was arrested on January 4 and arraigned before District Judge Timothy P. Schill on one count each of second-degree misdemeanor indecent exposure and third-degree harassment.

In a PFA violation hearing on January 12, Clark pleaded guilty before President Judge James G. Arner. He was ordered to be incarcerated at the Clarion County Jail and received credit for time served at the jail since January 2, 2018.

Clark is also facing a February 22 revocation hearing in Venango County in relation to a June 17, 2017, incident in which he pleaded guilty to harassment and was sentenced to 12 months probation.
