IRWIN TWP., Pa. (EYT) — An Emlenton man is facing child pornography and related charges after allegedly sexting with a minor.

According to online court documents, Franklin-based State Police filed criminal charges against 29-year-old Samuel Edward Guiste, of Emlenton.

According to a criminal complaint, text messages relative to this investigation were recovered during the investigation. Data extraction from the known minor female’s cell phone contained the contacts between her and Samuel Guiste from August 24, 2015 and September 15, 2015. These messages included numerous conversation abut sex, Guiste requesting nude photos from the minor, and references to nude photos sent from Guiste to the minor, as well as a reference of a nude photo sent from the known minor to Guiste.

Details of the Case

The complaint states that around 8:30 p.m. on May 18, 2016, Officer Swatzler, of PSP Franklin, interviewed the victim at her residence. She advised that during the end of the summer of 2015 and into the fall of 2015, she and Sam Guiste began texting with each other and that it turned to a sexual nature. She advised that Sam sent her pictures of him naked and that he asked her for pictures of her naked and asked her for sex. She advised that she did not send him any pictures of herself and that she deleted the pictures he sent to her.

According to the complaint, around 9:55 a.m. on September 15, 2016, Officer Swatzler interviewed Samuel Guiste at PSP Franklin. He was advised that he was not required to talk to police; however, he agreed to an interview. Guiste allegedly advised that “he did text with (a known, female minor) and that they talked about having sex, but did not remember specific text messages, but it was something that got out of control between both of them and that he should have put an end to it.”

Guiste also allegedly advised that he did not remember if he sent a picture of his penis to the known female, but he admitted “to sending a picture of his penis about a half a dozen times over the years to several different women.” He advised that to his knowledge (the known, female minor) was the only girl who was underage, the complaint continues.

Guiste Arraigned, Awaiting Preliminary Hearing

Following the investigation, Guiste was arraigned at 9:30 a.m. on January 20 in front of Magisterial District Judge Patrick E. Lowrey on the following charges:

• Child Pornography
• Unlawful Contact With Minor — Obscene and Other Sexual Materials and Performances, Felony 3
• Contact/Communication W/Minor-Sexual Abuse, Felony 3
• Corruption of Minors, Misdemeanor 1

He is free on $15,000.00 unsecured bail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on January 25 in Venango County Central Court with Judge Lowrey presiding.
