Oil City Man Accused of Stealing Copper Pipe from Local Business

FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) – An Oil City man was arrested for allegedly stealing copper pipe from a Franklin business on Saturday, March 25.

Franklin Police say Jeffrey A. Marshall, 52, of Oil City, stole 45 feet of copper pipe from a business located on Howard Street and then scrapped it for money.

Officers responded to the business on Tuesday, March 28, and later arrested Marshall.

He was arraigned at 2:51 p.m. on Tuesday before District Judge Matthew Kirtland on one count of Theft By Unlawful Taking-Movable Property, a first degree misdemeanor offense.

Marshall was released on $5,000.00 unsecured bail.

His preliminary hearing is set for 1:30 p.m., on Wednesday, April 5, in front of Judge Kirkland.
